I own a small business in Southwest Virginia, I have been renting them a drop yard also doing some work for them. Long story short when asked for payment they tried to pay with a credit card just to reverse it. I have Brian Burgmeier on recording he was gonna pay just to dispute with the credit card company as fraud. BE AWARE!!!!!! It’s a shame big businesses can’t even be trusted to pay for services rendered to their fleet!

I highly recommend not working for this company. Especially as a military Veteran. They will not pay you your last check if you quit. My check was about 4k that was owed not including escrow. Which I understand escrow is to pay for truck damage if there is any totally understandable on that part. But to not pay me for service rendered is another. I hear that the owner of Hirschbach is a military Veteran. Shame on you for screwing Veterans over like that and putting one of your own in a complete bind like that. That is an epic low. Wonder how many more Veterans that have worked there in the past have been burned and thrown under the bus like that. We call that A Blue Falcon in the military. Another thing calling a former driver saying if you comeback we'll make sure you get paid. Talk about bribery! Nothing but Thieves!!!

Super excited and very happy to join the Hirschbach team? Training went really well. Great trainer(Dustin) he made everything easy for us to understand. Very nice guy. However I really would like to acknowledge my recruiter Dani Simmons she stood by our side from start to finish and guided us through the entire process from offering the job, answering all questions, rental car, hotel, reimbursement for gas, etc.. and is still currently checking on us to make sure we got in our truck. BEST RECRUITER EVER hands down. I wish I could have her as a driver leader?Thank you Dani you truly are the best. And thank you Hirschbach for accepting us to your family. We're honored to join your team?

I worked there for 3 months. Pay averages out to about 500 a week. Safety bonuses add up to another 10 to 100 dollars more a week. I had to quit only bc I couldn’t pay my bills with that but if the pay works for you then it might be a good spot for you. They have a good dispatch team

Had an issue here at the company and I called my old recruiter Danni and she helped me and without an issue. She contacted me daily before I could contact her to give me updates on the issue or just to check in and see if I have heard anything so she could follow up. That’s a big deal to me being as it was not a recruiters job. After she got me hired her job was technically done but 2 months after my hire date she still made herself available and I liked that. Thanks for your help danni

I started with Hirschbach back in 17, when they were much smaller, although still not a small company. Back then, they cared about drivers, listened to concerns, and tried to be better, although they did have at least a couple of poor dispatchers. Shortly after, they decided that they were going to more than double the fleet within a one year period, and that is when they went downhill, stopped listening to the drivers, forcing dispatch even though for lease drivers it states in the lease that it's no forced dispatch, and several other issues, as well. Read the lease carefully, if you decide to go to this company: in mine, years ago, it stated that if you idle, you pay $1.25 per gallon, instead of $.99, but they refused to allow you to idle. It also stated that if they decided to terminate your lease, they have to give a 10 day notice unless it was due to the driver doing something illegal, which was not afforded to me. I was terminated in 2020 because I was dealing with personal issues at home, despite their claims to be understanding. This company will appreciate you as long as you are living in the truck and never going home, but as soon as you need to be home more, will find excuses to get rid of you. And after you're gone, they will end up randomly attaching you in emails regarding issues with loads that your old truck is running, even after you've asked them to stop, which shows they do not even value security. Furthermore, they will destroy your dac with everything. I have incidents on mine such as when a deer ran into the side of my truck, a couple of times other drivers backed into my truck while I was opening doors for the dock, etc. they have the mindset that if you do not run their loads, they'd rather you be off the road altogether.

-Privacy is invade inward facing cameras. Feels very uncomfortable
-Managers micromanage you and they do not listen to drivers. They just make decisions for drivers base on what they think only. l could not say anything, nor do they care to listen to you. You just have to listen to them.
-Even when you have no accidents, no roll overs, no drug issues, no damage to their equipment, and have experience, they are unconcerned for drivers. You are just a number. Hirschbach make decisions for us without our input because they can get away with it. Safety and their micromanage is horrible and unconcerned for drivers. They will not answer nor return your phone call especially safety because they know you are calling about false report on your driving record, dac, psp, tenstreet, or hired right record. Safety answer machine was full. I call several times, and left messages with others, yet no response. They just want you to go along with their decision. They terminated my contract right before l suppose to received an all in bonus after working there for over a year when it was on the back end of it & time for me to receive it without no warning. Also l only had a year and about 3 months left on my lease purchase payments. They terminated my contract no warning, nor did l received my bonus which was due in 2 months.
-They put things on your driving record to blackball your career to hold you hostage. You are not allow to fix it or make it right, nor change it. They just out right terminal my contract without warming. I did nothing wrong. I was just doing my job. I turn in their truck no damages.
-They will also cheat you out of your pay. I had to call every week to get loads push through because of delaying of my loads pay that l ran for that week for over a year.
- My pay decrease from day one to worse as a lease. I barely made half of what l was making when l started
- They are not real with drivers but fake & they try to hold drivers hostage by blackballing them, putting things on their drivers record to sabotage their driving career because they can get away with it. Why are these large companies doing this to hard working truck drivers, because they can get away with it.
-Long waits at shippers & receivers
4 to 11 hours & sometimes days because they are close & planner did not planned well so you are waiting without pay & losing money. l never seen my detention pay
- l would nor recommend Hirschbach Motor Lines, they are not a good company, they do not have drivers best interest & careless about your concerns as a driver & when your lease contract about to end and it is time for you to get your bonus they terminate your contract. Also, watch your paycheck. I had to call payroll every week for over a year because the load that l run for that week, the pay was delayed and l had a lot of missing load pay. I was doing a good, getting loads on time, no damage to their equipment, out 2 and 3 months over the road at a time. Yet, l was kick out of Hirschbach like someone got put out doors. My lease contract was terminated right before l suppose to had received a $5000 bonus just because safety department decided to do this with no damage to their equipment, no warning, no drug failing problems, just doing my best job. They could care less. I did nothing wrong and my last load was delivered on time as usually. Run from Hirschbach because they will try to hold you hostage & Satabotage your driving career & put false information on your driving record. This is very wrong and l hope someone do something about how they are treating drivers

Honestly, I did not enjoy my experience here as a lease operator regardless of the .99 cent program.literally my first two checks I had to fight to get what I got which were their fault.my average pay was supposed to be 13-17. More like 700. The driver leader waited until the day I was fed up and put my notice in did he begged me to not leave but it was too late. To each is own but this company was not for me. Good luck drivers
