Wholesome experience, closest to learning Bharatnatyam in the traditional Guru Shishya parampara. Kuchipudi and Sangeetham classes also offered. Committed teacher with a strong value system for the art form and life in general, lovely person. Inclusive classes. Special attention given to harmonising movement and the body to avoid injury or rectify misalignment.
Blessed to have found Nātya Berlin so I could continue learning Bharatnatyam after a long gap, Akka has empowered me to dive deeper into Nātya irrespective of one’s age and background. 6 years ago when I started dancing again, I would have never thought I would be where I am today

Attended a Bharatanatyam performance here. It was presented well with sufficient explanations before the dance that helped uninitiated people like me. The dances were so graceful and classy. Was worth travelling all the way to Tegel for seeing the dance performances

Excellent dance school in a prime locality. Shabana mam is extremely talented and so professionally trained. My daughter has been enjoying the bharatnatyam classes under her training. The teaching is done in a very age appropriate way and kids seem to enjoy the classes and adore their teacher. We are very happy and would highly recommend Natya Berlin!

Shebana akka is just amazing! I started learning Nattuvangam and Carnatic vocal from her a couple of months ago! Her depth of knowledge, passion, and dedication to the art forms is commendable! Mrs.Mangold is very compassionate and caring to her students! I am really glad I have found her as my teacher! She is an experienced artist in both Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam, and her quality of teaching is wonderful. She goes above and beyond! Mrs. Mangold is also very good with working with gen Z students! I highly recommend her!

My daughter is taking classes from Shebana Devi. We are truly blessed to get a teacher like Shebhana Devi who is an amazing and graceful dancer. Her teaching methods are very perfect, classy, authentic, and lovely. She creates and develops an interest in kids with her excellent interaction during sessions. She is very creative and hats off to her patience in teaching kids especially. The way she conducts the program is astonishing and fabulous.
